Career so far I have worked at Micro P for the last 24 years, holding director roles for the last 15 years, from purchasing and product marketing director, commercial director and currently purchasing and marketing director.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? My wife (without the house work), and spend quality time with my little ones.

Cloud - friend or foe? Foe as it is taking up so much discussion time and there are no absolutes - well, not ones that I can sell!

Has 2011 been as bad as everyone said it would be? It depends who you have been speaking to. Our business has been in line with our budget (which required us to buck the market trend) - and trust me it was a tough budget.

What would you have as your last meal? Ossobuco. I dare you to look it up.

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with? The Saturdays.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? With the delay of other vendors' tablets hitting the market, my predictions that Apple share would decline to less than 60 per cent is somewhat off the mark.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2012? Manufacturers will continue to be encouraged to take relationships direct, cutting out distribution.

What is the best part of your day? Saying good night to the kids, then I can really relax.
