Career so far: I am a 20-year technology veteran handpicked to lead channel and commercial sales throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa Region for McAfee. I join McAfee from Juniper Networks where I served as vice president of channel sales in EMEA. In this role, I managed channel sales across EMEA for Juniper Networks where I grew the channel partners by 200 per cent.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? My son. He is five years old. It would be great to be that free again.

Cloud - friend or foe? Friend.

Has 2011 been as bad as everyone said it would be? It's been tough but there have been great opportunities to add value to partners when they offer better security.

What would you have as your last meal? Steak pie and chips.

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with? Bill Gates, Nelson Mandela and Bob Marley because it would be great to understand their views on business, philanthropy, world politics and music.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? Yes. McAfee has continued to deliver on its channel vision and we are getting real traction in the UK channel.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2012? The biggest challenge will be to keep the momentum of the channel program in an unstable economy.

What is the best part of your day? Getting up in the morning and getting ready to start a new day.
