Career so far: It feels like I've been in IT forever - does anyone know a way out as I can't find one.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be and what would you do? The man who puts up Deck Chairs on a beach in Tahiti - what would I do? Put up deck chairs.

Cloud - friend or foe? It's funny how we've gone full circle several times now. Do we centralise or distribute computing intelligence? Hang around long enough and it will all change again. So I wouldn't get too excited just yet.

Has 2011 been as bad as everyone said it would be? The first six months of the year were fine, then everyone went on holiday and didn't come back, which sort of ruined it.

What would you have as your last meal? Having started watching Man Vs Food, I'd have to opt for the 7lb of steak he recently ate.

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with? The Brasilian national women's beach volleyball team.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? Sadly no, I didn't get stuck in a lift with the Brasilian national women's beach volleyball team.

What do you see as the channel's biggest challenge in 2012? In the words of the Bee Gees: staying alive.

What is the best part of your day? Coming to work and seeing the look of eager anticipation on the faces of the staff.
