Has 2011 been as bad as everyone said it would be? It's been our best year on record.

What would you have as your last meal?

Scallops, steak and eton mess.

Who would you like to be stuck in a lift with?

My wife, Justine.

Have any of your predictions come true this year?

Price wars. They start small as underperformers begin to panic and slash margins before they fold. If it spreads, everyone loses out, most of all the customer in the end.

The kids jumping on the bed in the morning (not too early!).
