Career so far In 1989, I co-founded Morgan & Morgan Business and Technology. In 2007 I founded the Liquid Thinking Consulting. In 2010 I became managing director of Network Group – the UK’s premier IT group.
If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be? Carlos Slim. I’d empty all his bank accounts and do as much good as possible in developing nations to eradicate hunger and deliver basic healthcare. Doing it in a week might be a challenge!
What will next year’s most overhyped industry buzzword be? Patent Infringement.
Has 2012 been a good, bad or ugly year? 2012 has been another year of change and adaption to market changes, trends and ecomomic circumstances. It’s been ugly but good.
What would you have as your last meal? A huge seafood paella shared with my best friend and wife Ruth and our three beautiful girls.
What keeps you awake at night? Very little. “Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?” Luke 12:25.
What piece of technology could you not be without? Contact lenses.
Have any of your predictions come true this year? Yes, the continued growth of Network Group and London’s delivery of the best Olympic Games yet.
What is the best partner/customer trip you have ever been on? A racing day at the Jonathan Palmer Track in Bedford with Brother in the late 1990s
What do you see as the channel’s biggest challenge in 2013? Continuing to grow in challenging economic climates. Costs are rising and margins will continue to erode.
