If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be? Richard Branson. I think he has a pretty amazing life and I’d love to be inside his thinking.
What will next year’s most overhyped industry buzzword be? Flat economy. I’m just not buying that.
Has 2012 been a good, bad or ugly year? 2012 has been an amazing year. There is a lot of confidence in our client base both in the UK and abroad. I’ll be delighted if 2013 is the same.
What would you have as your last meal? A chicken vindaloo with a nice bottle of Pinotage.
What keeps you awake at night? Nothing in the world keeps me awake; I’m asleep as soon as I close my eyes and I don’t stir until 5am when I get up.
What piece of technology could you not be without? I couldn’t be without my iPad, Citrix or Sonos.
Have any of your predictions come true this year? Yes, in terms of a slower than predicted uptake on cloud; alas no regarding Aston Villa.
What is the best partner/customer trip you have ever been on? I used to love the days of Comdef.
What do you see as the channel’s biggest challenge in 2013? The channel needs to continue to innovate and adapt, adding a blend of cloud services and related value-add to complement the on-premise elements which I have no doubt will remain.
