Jon Bunyard

Director, Ingram Micro UK

Career so far Particularly boring: I spent 22 years at Computacenter Distribution, and now three years at Ingram Micro.

If you could be anyone else for a week, who would you be? Jenson Button – I’d get to drive an F1 car.

What will next year’s most overhyped industry buzzword be? The same as it has always been: cloud.

Has 2012 been a good, bad or ugly year? It has been a great year to be both British and part of the channel, especially as both are winning again!

What would you have as your last meal? Heinz beans on toast (white bread, obviously!)

What keeps you awake at night? A two-year-old son and a one-year-old daughter, and the price of a decent education!

What piece of technology could you not be without? I’m all jazzed up about my Windows phone and how it integrates all my life together into a buttery smooth interface.

Have any of your predictions come true this year? Most have, but not all.

What is the best partner/customer trip you have ever been on? A CCD trip to Botswana, closely followed by CCD’s trip to Thailand.

What do you see as the channel’s biggest challenge in 2013? The biggest challenge is around channel financing. As sales migrate to an annuity model, banks will become increasing nervous around factoring, which will for some create a cash flow crisis.
