Mukesh Gupta
Managing director, e92plus
What was the worst job you have ever had?
There has been no worst job; you just need to take the best experience you can from every situation.
Which actor would you pick to play you in a movie of your life?
Daniel Craig - does it get better than Bond? Plus the similarities are clear.
What do you do as your party trick?
I don't need party tricks to keep people entertained at my parties.
What is your favourite chocolate bar?
If I have a super spy playing me in the film of my life, surely it has to be a box of chocolates, "because the lady loves Milk Tray".
What has been the highlight of your career to date?
Winning at the Channel Awards twice in the last few years. To receive that accolade in front of the entire industry made me incredibly proud.
Has 2014 been a good, bad or ugly year?
It's been another good one and we've continued to grow, but it's a rollercoaster ride - after 25 years in business, every year has its own challenges.
How would you explain the IT channel to a stranger without boring them to death?
It's the lifeblood of the IT industry - we make everything happen, and help ensure that great technology gets to market and actually makes a difference to businesses and users.
Aside from the channel, my dream career would be... an actor. Being an actor would mean I get to play any role, plus I can return the compliment to Daniel Craig and be Bond myself!
What major issues will the channel face in 2015?
Margin erosion is as big a challenge as ever, customers' understanding is much greater and so we need to continually develop better ways to demonstrate value and retain margin.
