Richard Btesh

Director, Chess

What was the worst job you have ever had?

Dealing with some lawyers that are poor at their job on transactions can be frustrating beyond belief.

Which actor would you pick to play you in a movie of your life?

Spencer Tracy, because he is so good. If you want a living specimen, then De Niro (same reason).

What do you do as your party trick?

Make an impression, take the contrarian view.

What is your favourite chocolate bar? Green and Blacks.

What has been the highlight of your career to date?

The success of Chess Telecom: £4m to £80m in 10 years.

Has 2014 been a good, bad or ugly year?

For Chess it's been another good year; for the economy, just more flatlining, but never short of growth opportunities.

How would you explain the IT channel to a stranger without boring them to death?

Understanding a customer's computer requirements and being able to deliver.

Aside from the channel, my dream career would be... dealing in modern British art.

What major issues will the channel face in 2015? See the answer above: understanding a customer's computer requirements and being able to deliver.
