Adrian Spink
Chief executive, Company85
What was the worst job you have ever had?
Shelf stacking in the wines and spirits department in Asda over Christmas. Dropping a case of Mateus Rose at 6am with a hangover certainly tests your mettle.
Which actor would you pick to play you in a movie of your life?
I'd say a silver fox like George Clooney. Everyone else would probably go for Peter Kay.
What do you do as your party trick?
I do keep threatening people with my elephant impersonation.
What is your favourite chocolate bar?
Anything dark. White chocolate is up there with cous-cous on my list of pet hates.
What has been the highlight of your career to date?
It has to be completing the management buyout from Symantec to set up Company85. That's going to be a hard one to top.
Has 2014 been a good, bad or ugly year?
I'd have to say ugly. Despite the rhetoric I'm not sure if the market has decided if we're out of recession or not yet.
How would you explain the IT channel to a stranger without boring them to death?
Probably by adopting the much maligned and little used medium of mime.
Aside from the channel, my dream career would be... manager of Leeds United. On current form I reckon I couldn't do much worse.
What major issues will the channel face in 2015?
The move to cloud marches on and the channel will need to continue to evolve. Services will become increasingly important and partnering will be a route to avoid being left behind.
