Chief executive, TIG
What achievement are you most proud of?
There are many things that I am proud of but particularly is how my team have turned the business around and increased revenues over the last two years. We define success on how quickly we react when things don't go to plan.
What has been the biggest change in the channel since you started working in it?
I have been in the channel now for over 20 years and have seen the early hypes of cloud to now the reality and the takeup rate is increasing rapidly. We have to be more creative than ever before to stand out from the competition and this is becoming harder to do. Customers are looking for real value add, not just someone to resell.
What three things could you not live without?
Sushi, Mojitos and the beach!
What has been your most embarrassing moment so far?
I am thick skinned, so I don't get embarrassed.
What do your family think you do all day?
Talk, create and eat!
Who is your ultimate celeb crush?
James Bond as I see many qualities of myself in the character: sophisticated, athletic and not afraid to go in to uncharted waters.
What is your guilty pleasure?
What would be your first act if you were made Prime Minister?
Abolish council tax.
Has 2015 been a good, bad or ugly year?
It's been a challenging year but very rewarding to see our staff thrive and progress as the business has expanded. We are also moving to brand-new, bigger offices which is very exciting.
If you didn't work in the IT channel, what would you do?
I would probably be working in the entertainment business.
What major issues will the channel face in 2016?
The channel will consolidate further, talent will become the limiting factor, and it will be challenging to keep pace with the market.
