Sales & marketing director, Content and Code

What achievement are you most proud of?

Turning around Bytes Document Solutions. In March 2010 at the age of 36 I took on the role of managing director and turned a -£1m Ebitda to a +£1m Ebitda in 23 months, improving cash and revenues along the way. It was the best experience of my professional life.

What has been the biggest change in the channel since you started working in it?

Vendors invest a lot less in their partners now and any spend is only ever tactical.

What three things could you not live without?

A pen, a pad and bottomless coffee - one stimulates the brain and the other two record the output.

What has been your most embarrassing moment so far?

Coming last in my Oxbridge entrance exam.

What do your family think you do all day?

Fix computers.

Who is your ultimate celeb crush?

Boris Johnson. He's hilarious.

What is your guilty pleasure?

The Bee Gees (see picture). I went to Windsor races this year to watch a Bee Gees tribute band - I thought it was fancy dress! It wasn't.

What would be your first act if you were made Prime Minister?

Make Beer O'Clock on a Friday an employee right.

Has 2015 been a good, bad or ugly year?

All three. Something about the PM and a pig?

If you didn't work in the IT channel, what would you do?

I would be a Bee Gees groupie.

What major issues will the channel face in 2016?

Think of new services to replace those lost as clients live more in the cloud.
