What achievement are you most proud of?
Founding and growing a successful business during the financial crisis and associated recession. And winning the CRN Emerging Company of the Year, of course!
What has been the biggest change in the channel since you started working in it?
Consolidation of multiple features within individual devices.
What three things could you not live without?
1. Radio 4 - a calm voice in the midst of uninformed babble. 2. Running - for fitness of mind and body. 3. The Scottish Highlands and Islands - it is good to know that they are there when you need them.
What has been your most embarrassing moment so far?
Far too many and too embarrassing to recall.
What do your family think you do all day?
Talk.
Who is your ultimate celeb crush?
Anyone in the celeb category is not worthy of a crush; perhaps of being crushed?
What is your guilty pleasure?
Supporting Hull City.
What would be your first act if you were made Prime Minister?
Introduce a "fit for parenthood test".
Has 2015 been a good, bad or ugly year?
Good. My second grandchild arrived, a third is on the way and Varlink is doing well.
If you didn't work in the IT channel, what would you do?
Travel the world, running a marathon a month.
What major issues will the channel face in 2016?
Proving its value to customers.
