Managing director, Celerity

What achievement are you most proud of?

Being a father.

What has been the biggest change in the channel since you started working in it?

From hardware being 90 per cent of solution to becoming less than 10 per cent of final solution.

What three things could you not live without?

1. My glasses - I would walk into everything without them. 2. My iPhone - it runs/ruins my life. 3. My laptop - I am not a completely dedicated follower of Apple.

What has been your most embarrassing moment so far?

Almost walking into a pond in Thailand on holiday, late at night, jetlagged...

What do your family think you do all day?

According to my four-year-old daughter, I talk to my friends on the phone, drink tea and draw pictures on a white board.

Who is your ultimate celeb crush?

Kate Bush.

What is your guilty pleasure?

Monster Munch.

What would be your first act if you were made Prime Minister?

Attempt to understand who I had upset in a previous life to be put in that position.

Has 2015 been a good, bad or ugly year?

Good! Sustained expansion of our service capabilities, both in terms of people and our offerings, has been a fantastic success. We have increased our IBM portfolio to include Z Mainframe, helping organisations to reinvent enterprise IT for mobile, analytics, cloud and security. Finally we are in the process of extending our service offerings on the Government G-Cloud framework to provide a range of solutions and services via the digital market.

If you didn't work in the IT channel, what would you do?

Make tea on the Mersey Ferry.

What major issues will the channel face in 2016?

The continued growth of cloud technologies and the sprawl of providers delivering the varying required services and skills levels will mean that companies are looking to consolidate providers more effectively to manage their entire cloud. It is therefore imperative that companies like ourselves are at the very top of their game in terms of innovation, reliability and experience.
