UK&I channel director, HP

What is your greatest career move to date?

2002 I decided to decline the role of Barbie product marketing executive, instead opting for a year in industry with HP.

What is top of your bucket list?

To play golf at Augusta National.

What has changed most since you started working in the channel?

There are fewer egos. I think those who have stuck around the longest realise there is no room for them.

How do you think Brexit is going to affect the channel?

We will have to see but the IT channel is resilient and adapts well to any changes.

What is your least favourite task during the working day?

Approving things that have already been approved by 10 other people.

If you were an animal, what would you be?

A giraffe. Those who know me will understand why.

If you won the big one on EuroMillions, what would you do?

That is obvious. Donate it all to charity and keep working in the channel!

What is your worst habit?

Trying to do too much.

How has 2016 been for you?

Excellent. I have become a dad again and our business has been booming. No better combination.

If you didn't work in the IT channel, what would be your dream career?

I would have loved to have been a pilot. Travelling the world and seeing different things is so exciting.

What major issues will the channel face in 2017?

None. HP along with every one of our partners has more market share to chase than they have already. So plenty of opportunity to go after.
