Managing director, Partner Organisation, Cisco UK & Ireland

What is top of your bucket list?
I've always wanted to see the Pyramids and I've never quite got around to it for various reasons.

What has changed most since you started working in the channel?
The breadth and variety of the partners that we come into contact with on a
daily basis continues to explode. The challenge is, how do we work together? The solution is not always obvious as sometimes they were historically competition.

What is your least favourite task during the working day?
I am not good with negativity, so any conversation that is not positive tends to drain me a little.

If you were an animal, what would you be?
I was a little stuck on this so asked my team. They came up with a zebra. Apparently a zebra is a social animal, with a tough exterior, is fierce when provoked but is a loyal friend that cuts to the chase. It could have been worse, I guess.

If you won the big one on EuroMillions, what would you do?
Live my life out on a beach somewhere reading about other people working for a living.

What is your worst habit?
I am told I can be too honest (particularly after a glass or two of wine).

How has 2016 been for you?
It has been a great year so far. The Cisco channel team is continuing to mature and we are forging some great new and exciting go-to-market relationships.

If you didn't work in the IT channel, what would be your dream career?
I always wanted to be pathologist but an aversion to the sight of blood put a stop to that. Probably a role where I get to mix with lots of people - sound familiar? What major issues will the channel face in 2017? How we transition from legacy resale to an ecosystem that enables us to truly drive business outcomes.
