What is your greatest career move to date?
I once moved the flowers from the left side of the reception area to the right side and that totally transformed the fortunes of the company and its staff.
What is top of your bucket list?
The title "Neil's Bucket List".
What has changed most since you started working in the channel?
I think the transition from chalk and slate to paper made a huge difference - certainly for the photocopying industry.
How do you think Brexit is going to affect the channel?
There may be trouble ahead, but while there's music and laughter and love and romance, let's face the music and dance.
What is your least favourite task during the working day?
Saying goodbye to my beloved co-workers when I unlock the doors at 8pm to allow them their nine hours of personal time.
If you were an animal, what would you be?
I loved The Animals, much better than the Beatles. I would be Eric Burdon, great singer and a natural leader of the band but John Steel was a mean drummer and I love banging the drum.
If you won the big one on EuroMillions, what would you do?
I would give every member of staff a piece of cake and tell them that they can have their cake and they can eat it.
What is your worst habit?
Not being succinct, using too many words. It's unnecessary, I need to try harder. Some words are simply not needed. They are superfluous. Redundant. Unrequired, needless, dispensable and inessential.
How has 2016 been for you?
It's been the best year I have had since 2015. Business has never been better.
If you didn't work in the IT channel, what would be your dream career?
Something modest. Maybe a global rock icon, Tour de France cycling champion or a Jason Bourne secret squirrel type.
What major issues will the channel face in 2017?
Many more people trying to swim across it will present shipping traffic issues and opportunities for jellyfish to sting the hell out of those amazing athletes.
