What is your greatest career move to date?
I originally declined the offer to join Softcat. On balance, reversing that decision was a good one.
What is top of your bucket list?
Not kicking it too quickly.
What has changed most since you started working in the channel?
Everybody in it is a lot younger. Because I'm a lot older.
How do you think Brexit is going to affect the channel?
I'd rather it hadn't happened but it has. Time to move on and make the most of it. Every cloud has a silver lining.
What is your least favourite task during the working day?
Answering questions about me.
If you were an animal, what would you be?
A cat. Quite a soft one.
If you won the big one on EuroMillions, what would you do?
Pay a lot of tax. Again.
What is your worst habit?
Probably the one I bought in Carnaby Street last year. It does nothing for my shapely body. I do enjoy dressing as a nun though.
How has 2016 been for you?
It has been very public. If you didn't work in the IT channel, what would be your dream career?
I would have loved to have had the talent and creative ability to be a great artist. A kind of Van Gogh but with two ears.
What major issues will the channel face in 2017?
Answering this question may be construed as giving a market forecast so being constrained by market regulations (and not having a good answer), I will decline to answer this one.
