What is your greatest career move to date?

Answering an ad on the university notice board 20 years ago.

What is top of your bucket list?

Seeing Plymouth Argyle win the Premier League (well, if Leicester can...).

What has changed most since you started working in the channel?

My hairline... and the speed of technological change and innovation, especially in the last three years.

How do you think Brexit is going to affect the channel?

As much as we let it affect the channel - inevitably there will be an adjustment period and then it will become the new normal.

What is your least favourite task during the working day?

Emptying the dishwasher, closely followed by signing off expenses claims.

If you were an animal, what would you be?

A giraffe. It would be easier to pick off the high-hanging fruit.

If you won the big one on EuroMillions, what would you do?

Not tell a soul.

What is your worst habit?

Eating crisps.

How has 2016 been for you?

Great. I unsubscribed from every junk mail I received and reduced my email traffic by 80 per cent.

If you didn't work in the IT channel, what would be your dream career?

Perfumery - selling scented water for mega mark-ups appeals to me.

What major issues will the channel face in 2017?

Hopefully none.
