Mark Needham

Director, CMS Widget
What is your greatest career move to date?
Starting Widget.
What is top of your bucket list?
Travelling the Trans-Siberian Railway.
What has changed most since you started working in the channel?
When I first started in the channel, the idea of a small box which could tell you everything about the world was science fiction. Now everyone has one.
How do you think Brexit is going to affect the channel?
It may increase the length of time needed to transport goods between here and the continent.
What is your least favourite task during the working day?
Cleaning out the coffee filter.
What is your worst habit?
Drinking too much coffee.
How has 2016 been for you?
It has been a good year. CMS bought Widget earlier this year and the transition has gone well.
If you didn't work in the IT channel, what would be your dream career?
Running a school somewhere in the third world where education was precious and all the students polite and motivated.
What major issues will the channel face in 2017?
As ever, the unpredictable nature of consumer demand.
