Never look back

Vivitek's David Zrihen shares why he would bring the mythical dragon back to life and why you should live for the moment

Are you a cat or a dog person?

I'm more of a dog guy.

What were you like in school?

A good student, always.

What is your most annoying habit?

I do have one, but it's probably better that I don't write it down.

What is your biggest regret in business?

I have no regrets, because regrets mean looking backwards. I always look forward.

If you were king or queen, what would you do first? Why?

I would make sure my people have nice conditions to live in, a decent job and a decent income. The reason for taking this approach is that I'm French and, in our country, historically they cut off the King's head if things are not right, so I think it's in my best interest to make sure everyone is fine.

What was the first record you bought?

Wings Over America (Triple LP) from Paul McCartney and Wings.

What is your most overused word?

Crisis!

Which extinct animal (one only, not a whole species) would you bring back and why?

In theory, I would bring back the mythical dragon because I'd like to use it to fire up my BBQ in the summer.

What should the government be doing to help UK businesses grow?

Brex-IN!

CRN in print or digital form?

Digital. I'm a zero paper guy.

What is your dream holiday destination? Why?

A place with no mobile phone or internet access. Why? To have a proper holiday!

Your closest near-death experience?

Being stuck under water for a minute when I was a child.

How do you cheer yourself up when you're feeling down? Does it work?

I tell myself ‘every bad moment will pass'. And yes, it works.

If you had your time again, what would you do differently? Why?

Again, I never look back and I tend to enjoy what I have done so far.
