Tell us something most people won't know about you

This year I came third in the London Triathlon Super Sprint and hope to do the same at the Barcelona Tri in October.

What has been your highlight of 2018 so far?

Winning the CRN Award for Cloud Service Provider of the Year in November 2017.

Who would play you in the film of your life?

Tom Hanks from Apollo 13.

Which tech firm (other than your own!) do you most admire?

Garmin. I have one of their watches and am loving the new analytics.

What is your guiltiest pleasure?

Magnums x 3.

What is the most irritating tech buzzphrase of 2018?

‘Future-proof' as, let's face it, in the tech industry we all want the latest gadget as soon as it comes out, not something that will last forever.

What would be your first act if you were made Prime Minister?

Spend more money on healthcare and probably allow certain states in Europe to work here on extended visas if they have the skills. Then if they are here for five years or more and working they get citizenship if they want it.

What's the biggest untapped opportunity facing the channel?

Getting SIs to join forces with AI ISVs.

What is your most treasured possession?

My terrace that's filled with plants and two massive olive trees that are now baring fruit.

What do your family think you do all day?

I think just run an IT business, work hard, talk a lot and train hard.

Who has been your mentor in business?

I've always looked up to Richard Branson as I like his idea of ‘screw it, let's do it'.
