I used to sleep walk when a young kid, thankfully in my pyjamas!

What has been your highlight of 2018 so far?

Coming through major surgery minus the odd organ and feeling 100 per cent.

Who would play you in the film of your life?

Jude Law. My wife says she wants to meet him.

Which tech firm (other than your own!) do you most admire?

Microsoft - amazing re-invention after the Ballmer era, with a CEO in Satya Nadella who generally gets it right in the balance between his company and the rest of the world.

What is your guiltiest pleasure?

My F-Type convertible. Extravagance in the extreme - especially for a family man of four!

What is the most irritating tech buzzphrase of 2018?

‘Blockchain'. Does my dog need one?

What would be your first act if you were made Prime Minister?

Tackling homelessness in this country - everyone should have somewhere decent to live.

What's the biggest untapped opportunity facing the channel?

Workplace transformation, supporting agile working by leveraging great technology that keeps people connected anywhere / anytime and flexibility for individuals.

What is your most treasured possession?

My Specialised Roubaix road bike - my escapism and way to unwind.

What do your family think you do all day?

They struggle to understand why I fly two or three days a week to sit in a hotel or conference room and do not visit those beautiful cities around the world.

Who has been your mentor in business?

Overall, in life it's my wife Debbie - smart, calm and a great judge of character.
