I used to play basketball for England as a teenager.
What has been your highlight of 2018 so far?
Professionally, coming to work for SICL. Personally, teaching my daughter to ride her bike.
Who would play you in the film of your life?
Drew Barrymore.
Which tech firm (other than your own!) do you most admire?
There are too many to list, but I admire all the small tech firms who are working hard to make a difference.
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
Pork scratchings.
What is the most irritating tech buzzphrase of 2018?
‘Let's punch a puppy' - it just sounds horrible.
What would be your first act if you were made Prime Minister?
Better funding for education and the NHS.
What's the biggest untapped opportunity facing the channel?
AI and VR.
What is your most treasured possession?
It's not technically a possession but my family are the most treasured thing in my life.
What do your family think you do all day?
Have meetings.
Who has been your mentor in business?
My first manager in the industry, Terry Hook, set me on the right path and helped me build the foundation I now use every day. Following on from that, I have been fortunate enough to receive support and guidance from Chris Calvert, Steve Potts, Phylip Morgan, Paul Rambridge and Wayne Cockerill.
