Tell us something most people won't know about you

I train at an all-female weightlifting performance training group and can currently dead-lift 82.5kg.

What has been your highlight of 2018 so far?

I visited my sister in New Zealand for the first time in 2018 and have never been to a more beautiful place.

Who would play you in the film of your life?

Haha! I'd like to think Reece Witherspoon: a strong, blonde, independent woman with a quirky side.

Which tech firm (other than your own!) do you most admire?

I am still a big fan of Softcat. The way it has grown, the technology it engages with and the people culture.

What is your guiltiest pleasure?

Watching box sets on Netflix and good films. I can lose hours and switch off.

What is the most irritating tech buzzphrase of 2018?

‘AI' - everything is about AI. It's not really a buzzphrase but it's talked about a lot.

What would be your first act if you were made Prime Minister?

I would really want to help more people get back into work and be self-sufficient. I'd put more resource into job centres, homeless shelters and drug workers.

What's the biggest untapped opportunity facing the channel?

Not necessarily untapped but I feel resellers could do more within the smart tech market. It's already doing well in distribution but needs more of a push at the reseller end.

What is your most treasured possession?

It has to be my beagle Jenson. He is the most treasured thing in my life. Don't tell my husband!

What do your family think you do all day?

Magic people out of thin air and place them in to jobs that have also appeared out of nowhere.

Who has been your mentor in business?

It has to be the person who taught me everything to do with the IT channel. I won't name him but he taught me what the IT channel was and how to work the market. He also taught me to be a better recruiter; I still use many of his lessons today.
