CEO, Printerland

Tell us something most people won't know about you

I'm the first one up for karaoke with a bit of Wonderwall by Oasis.

What has been your highlight of 2018 so far? Growing our market share and having another record year.

Who would play you in the film of your life?

Kirk from Coronation Street; we were cut from same cloth (not that anyone would want to watch it).

Which tech firm (other than your own!) do you most admire?

Apple. It has continued to grow while at the top of its industry, just like us.

What is your guiltiest pleasure?

Sailing; the only place I can switch off and turn off my phone.

What is the most irritating tech buzzphrase of 2018? ‘GDPR'.

The panic we all saw in the lead-up to the deadline was insane.

What would be your first act if you were made Prime Minister?

To reduce tax on SMEs - we're the ones that will drive the country forward.

What's the biggest untapped opportunity facing the channel?

Managed print - the potential is huge.

What is your most treasured possession?

Printerland. It's just as exciting to be part of as it was 25 years ago.

What do your family think you do all day?

Watch Coronation Street on catch-up.

Who has been your mentor in business?

Myself - it's always good to have self-belief and a bit of arrogance in small doses.
