Tell us something most people won't know about you

I worked for quite a few years for the Prison Psychology Service - surprisingly very handy in this industry.

Who would play you in the film of your life?

My wife has suggested George Clooney. This is not the first time his name has come up.

Which tech firm (other than your own!) do you most admire?

All of Tech Data's vendors for choosing such a good distribution partner.

What is your guiltiest pleasure?

Meditation retreats. They're difficult to prioritise with busy work and home but it's good for the soul.

What would be your first act if you were made Prime Minister?

Resign. There are better people.

What's the biggest untapped opportunity facing the channel?

IoT and the cloud are door openers to the real prize that comes from collaborative solutions to business issues. As we deliver more efficient and effective solutions the market will continue to expand.

What is your most treasured possession?

Family pictures.

What do your family think you do all day?

Talk a lot.

What is your most treasured possession?

My health.

What do your family think you do all day?

Drink coffee and give orders, before heading out for dinner.

Who has been your mentor in business?

My dad. He taught me to work hard, be honest and respect other people.
