Tell us something most people won't know about you
I am a very private person, so not sharing.
What has been your highlight of 2018 so far?
Seeing both my boys with their Masters and both have jobs on their terms and enjoying work.
Who would play you in the film of your life?
David Bowie (I know he has passed away). As well as being a great singer songwriter, he was a good actor, and he embraced IT.
Which tech firm (other than your own!) do you most admire? Apple for its products and ability to reshape itself into the organisation it is today, delivering both quality and excellent customer service
What is your guiltiest pleasure?
The look on my wife's face after forcing her to embrace technology and showing her it is easy.
What is the most irritating tech buzzphrase of 2018?
‘Let's take this offline'.
What would be your first act if you were made Prime Minister?
Besides the obvious sorting the EU mess, invest in education and placement of the vast talent that is available in the UK.
What's the biggest untapped opportunity facing the channel?
The new, up-and-coming workforce understanding what motivates them to perform in their chosen function.
What is your most treasured possession?
Memories depicted in photographs of family and friends, and with technology now you can never lose them.
What do your family think you do all day?
They know exactly what I do as we are a very close unit and enjoy each other's company; it helps that the boys are now adults. Who has been your mentor in business?
There have been a few that have inspired me in the industry, both UK-based and abroad. I've followed them and understood what makes them tick, thus guiding me without them knowing.
