CDW UK has enjoyed an action-packed 2018, bagging the largest ever G-Cloud deal - in the form of a £25.7m contract with the Department of Education - and snaring the title of Partner of the Year with HPE. The UK arm of the world's largest IT reseller pierced the £700m revenue barrier in its year to 31 December 2017 on the back of 11 per cent growth. Net profit, however, rolled back from £34.8m to £28.7m. By revenue area, £336m came from workspace solutions, £280m from datacentre and £100m from services. Canalys CEO Steve Brazier recently predicted that NASDAQ-listed CDW, which turns over $15bn globally, will follow up its 2015 acquisition of UK-based Kelway by gobbling up one of Europe's ‘top 10' largest channel players within two years.
