11 Capita IT & Networks
Revenue: £404m (-3%)
Net profit margin: N/A Staff: 3,400
Capita admitted that 2018 was a year of "fixing the basics" across the division that houses its reseller activities.
‘Capita IT & Networks' saw revenue fall three per cent to £404m in the year to 31 December 2018, which the LSE-listed outsourcing giant blamed on a combination of contract losses and lower volumes of managed IT and enterprise services.
Adjusted operating profits for the division, which employs 3,400 staff in the UK, India and Poland, fell sharply, from £62m to £45.3m. Under its ‘One ITS' programme, Capita said it is aiming to trim costs in this part of its business by introducing shared services centres and increased use of outsourcing.
