What has been your business highlight of 2022?

Celebrating the 30th anniversary of CAE (and CAE being immortalised in FIFA23 thanks to our partnership with Fulham FC).

If you were ruler of your own country, what law would you introduce first?

The foundation that everyone is created equal and therefore there should be no basis for any form of discrimination.

Which channel or tech leader (outside of your own company) has impressed you most in 2022?

I don't want to be impressed, I want to be inspired, and that happens on a regular basis from meeting with leaders from across the channel.

If you had a warning label, what would it say?

"Beware: spontaneous outbursts of positivity (it can be catching)."

What was your first job?

I was a paperboy - early mornings have never been an issue.

What was the last book you read, and was it any good?

For business, The Scoreboard Looks After Itself by Bill Walsh, which is brilliant and a gratefully received gift from someone in the business. For fiction, Never by Ken Follet; he always writes a great page turner.

What's the most important lesson you've learned from another business leader or mentor?

Not to compromise on culture and values for money. It has come up in multiple ways from different people and examples over the years.
