Natalie Noor
SMB & channel director, Lenovo UK&I
What has been your business highlight of 2022?
Starting my new role as SMB and channel director at Lenovo is a huge career highlight for me. I'm super excited to get going and see what accomplishments our team can achieve through 2022 and beyond.
If you were ruler of your own country, what law would you introduce first?
Level out the statutory paternity leave to enable the support of the role men play in childcare.
Which channel or tech leader (outside of your own company) has impressed you most in 2022?
What I love about our channel is how much we champion diversity within the tech sector, and therefore many of the leaders I look up to such as Clare Parry-Jones, Emma de Sousa and Penny Williams have all shown what can be achieved as successful women in this sector, through drive, passion and hard work.
If you had a warning label, what would it say?
"Warning: if we're at a golf day, don't stand too close… it could go anywhere!"
What was your first job?
I worked in a coffee shop in my teens, so learnt the true aspects of customer service and interacting with all different people from a young age… The other positive was free cake!
What was the last book you read, and was it any good?
Multipliers by Liz Wiseman, and yes it has some interesting concepts. I also just read Oh Crap! Potty Training. I'll let you know if it's any good when we start the training!
What's the most important message you've learnt from another business leader or mentor?
Anyone can ride a wave of success when the market is strong. What is most important is how you navigate the tough times, and lead a team to come out on top, with a positive attitude, tenacity, strong leadership and hard work.
Who would play you in a movie of your life?
When I was younger, I used to get told I looked a bit like Cat Deeley (if only) so for old times' sake I choose her!
