What has been your business highlight of 2022?

The business has done well despite a year that history will remember as the most eventful. The highlight for me was learning from our clients what they like about us and why they renewed and what they want from us. In short, the human fact remains the main reason for the mutually successful relationship. We make a point for the client to have at least eight different people as their touch point at Transputec. All have the same mission and that is to "serve and learn". User engagement and experience is paramount because of all the changes that are happening now.

If you were ruler of your own country, what law would you introduce first?

That would have to be "Go GREEN BIG or GO HOME" attitude. Cut waist, consume less, spread the word.

Which channel or tech leader (outside of your own company) has impressed you most in 2022?

Elon Musk has to be up there simply because he gets the coverage, but Satya Nadella is pretty close.

If you had a warning label, what would it say?

"Work to live and not live to work."

What was your first job?

Software developer.

What was the last book you read, and was it any good?

The Age of Surveillance Capitalism by Shoshana Zuboff, a Harvard professor. The book is a great example of how Google, Facebook and other social media giants have made user data the new currency by which they have built their fortunes. Wonderful and insightful reading.

What's the most important lesson you've learned from another business leader or mentor?

Start-ups should grow slow and steady; the best unicorns have taken 10 years to achieve acceptance and stability.

Who would play you in a movie of your life?

Roger Moore, please.
