What has been your business highlight of 2022?

Completion of our third acquisition, a strategic investment based in South Africa which offers complementary services and provided additional talent.

If you were ruler of your own country, what law would you introduce first?

50 per cent of all news stories must be good news or celebrating success.

Which channel or tech leader (outside of your own company) has impressed you most in 2022?

Elon Musk, while controversial, continues to elevate technology into the public eye. Starlink has been deployed in areas of the world providing critical humanitarian support, demonstrating the significance that progressive technology can have in challenging environments.

If you had a warning label, what would it say?

"Danger: handle with care."

What was your first job?

While studying at university I worked part-time as a software developer for a steel manufacturer. I was fortunate enough to spend some of this time at the head office in Chicago - a hugely valuable experience from a personal and professional perspective.

What was the last book you read, and was it any good?

The Culture Code: The Secrets of Highly Successful Groups. Fantastic book, easy to read, great insights into building a successful team culture.

What's the most important lesson you've learned from another business leader or mentor?

Building a business can be like climbing stairs. You hit a vertical challenge, once you conquer this you can then reach a plateau until the next vertical challenge. You climb the stairs as you want to know what's at the top.
