What has been your business highlight of 2022?

To outperform our growth aspirations and continue our geographical expansion, especially in these challenging times. Ignition now has a presence in UKI, France, Benelux, Nordics and the Middle East, with plans to open up DACH in Q1 2023.

If you were ruler of your own country, what law would you introduce first?

Remove speed limits on motorways and create Autobahns in the UK. Also banning all ‘celebrities' who have a profile and make a living without any talent or skill.

Which channel or tech leader (outside of your own company) has impressed you most in 2022?

Every channel or tech leader that has managed to navigate the last two and a half years and is still performing in 2022 gets my respect. It's been unprecedented times for everyone, both personally and professionally and we should all celebrate together.

If you had a warning label, what would it say?

"Beware: many ideas created on a weekly basis, choose wisely!"

What was your first job?

Internal sales rep at a reseller, cold calling back in the 1990s. People huddling around the fax machine waiting for POs to arrive, pre-email.

What was the last book you read, and was it any good?

I like to listen to audio books and podcasts. My most recent was From the Oasthouse by Alan Partridge. Very funny!

What's the most important lesson you've learned from another business leader or mentor?

"Don't worry about things you can't control" is one of the best pieces of advice I've been given.
