Ricoh IT services, the services division of this print and copier giant, registered a 14% uptick in revenue in its financial year ended 31 March. Counting 750 employees within its services arm (out of 1900 total in the UK), Northampton-HQ Ricoh will prioritise diversifying its digital services portfolio, maximising value for customers, society and the business, as well as decarbonising in 2024, it told CRN.
On top of its DNA in print, Ricoh has built a portfolio of digital services spanning a range from cloud & IT infrastructure solutions to process automation tools. It has clients across several verticals and size - enterprise, mid and small, as always, our focus is on people from board level to print room.
CEO Glenn Griggs told CRN last year: "Businesses of all sizes have disparate technologies in place. We see growth coming from those who want to create a seamless workspace experience that prioritises employees, nurtures productivity and supports flexibility. This is even more pressing as many organisations review real estate and face challenges with talent retention."
Economic uncertainty continues to shape the future of the business, as services marketing development manager, Mark Ivens tells CRN: "Economic uncertainty has been the subplot for all sizes of business, no matter their focus, and the channel isn't immune to that."
"It's shaping strategy, and it's shaping what we mean by 'value-added,' the latter becoming increasingly important as it can provide those micro-adjustments, efficiency savings, innovations, and expertise, that make a significant difference in the channel. Whether that's a focus on cybersecurity, generative AI, or automation."
