Cheshire-based Chess saw another year of revenues dropping, this time to £68.9m, but it delivered £25.5m gross profit, on par with its previous financial year.

It blamed a reduction in EBITDA on wage inflation, while a swell in cloud demand buoyed revenues for the year.

In May 2023, the Alderley Edge-HQ firm divested its cybersecurity businesses to refocus on cloud, ICT and telecoms.
