14. CCS Media
GII: £277.4m
Fresh off its 2024 acquisition by Advania, CCS Media remains a major force in UK IT product and services supply. While now technically part of a Nordic-backed juggernaut, CCS is still being tracked separately in Top VARs this year as the integration with Advania and fellow 2024 acquisition Servium continues.
In its most recent business review, CCS reported sales almost exactly on par with the prior year, and slight uptick in gross profit and operating profit despite the drag of economic uncertainty and softening hardware demand. The firm has doubled down on its technical services capability, securing the largest managed services contract in its history and growing its subscription and consumption-based revenues at pace.
A long-time Microsoft partner and key reseller for the likes of HP, Dell, Lenovo and Cisco, CCS delivers across a broad stack — from transactional product supply to full-stack IT solutions. Its offerings now span Workspace Technology (including Pro AV), Hybrid Data Centre, Cybersecurity, and Networking. As AI innovation and Windows 11 migrations drive fresh demand, CCS is positioning itself as a go-to partner for both strategic guidance and technical execution.
Parent company Advania’s UK chief Geoff Kneen has called CCS a “huge highlight” of 2024, praising the scale it brings to Advania’s MSP and digital transformation base. The priority now is integrating CCS, Servium and Advania into a unified force by the end of 2025 — with a focus on cross-selling and increasing value across a now 9,500-strong client base.
With over £12m in cash and rising net assets, CCS is financially fit and agile — not exposed to any one sector, and proactive on supply chain management. Its strategy remains grounded in tight relationships, fast response times, and a laser focus on delivering measurable value to customers.
