45. Apogee

Revenue: £101.3m

Apogee continues its strategic transformation from a print-centric player to a full-spectrum managed services provider. The Maidstone-based firm – a subsidiary of HP Inc. since 2018 – reported a dip in revenue and EBITDA in its FY23 results, reflecting a post-Covid reset in the Managed Print Services market, where revenues remain 20–30% down on pre-pandemic levels. But with digital workflows and IT transformation high on the customer agenda, Apogee is doubling down on services with a refreshed strategy focused on optimisation, growth, and emerging tech.

In FY23, the firm snapped up two UK-based specialists to bolster its portfolio – Isle of Man-based Argon Business Systems (Managed IT Services) in March and document services player Datatron in August. February 2025 saw Apogee make its first international investment in over a year, acquiring a stake in Spanish HP distributor CM Advanced Printing Iberia to fuel growth in southern Europe.

CEO James Clark said the move would help CM deliver added value across mid-market, enterprise and public sector customers through access to Apogee’s managed workplace, IT, and print solutions.
