61. Symetri

Revenue: £71.6m

Symetri provides software, training, and consultancy services to companies in the construction and manufacturing sectors. The Autodesk platinum partner’s principal activity is helping customers optimise workflows and improve project quality, and it also works with the likes of IBM.

In its latest financial year, revenue declined by 15.5 per cent, attributed to challenging market conditions and changes to sales systems implemented by key suppliers. Despite the revenue drop, gross margin increased to 31.8% (2022: 30.5 per cent).

Operating profit for the year was £7m, down from £10.3m in 2022. Administrative expenses increased by £274,351, with overall cost and staffing levels remaining stable and the increase attributed to inflation. No acquisitions were made during the year.

Looking ahead, the business is aiming to grow both turnover and profitability through increased focus on its own technology and services.
