78. TIEVA

Revenue: £58.6

Leeds-based TIEVA continues to strike a careful balance between growth, investment and consistency as it evolves its position in the UK channel. With a customer base spanning both public and private sector organisations—from SMEs to mid-market and enterprise—TIEVA leans on breadth to deliver the stability needed for long-term expansion.

Turnover for the year came in at £58.6m, a marginal dip of 0.2 per cent on the prior year, while gross profit held steady at £13.5m—maintaining a healthy 23 per cent margin in the face of market-wide pressures. Much of the margin squeeze stemmed from a shift towards long-term contract business, which tends to operate at lower rates than TIEVA’s traditional core.

Still, management has made it clear that sustainability, not just top-line growth, remains the focus. Operating costs rose by 7 per cent as the business invested in headcount, technology and infrastructure to support its expanding customer base and future ambitions. Chief among these is the launch of a bespoke e-business platform, Apexio, due in 2024. Designed to streamline procurement and enable real-time transactions, Apexio is expected to drive significant operational efficiencies and support new revenue streams.

TIEVA also rolled out a new company-wide resource management system during the year, reflecting its commitment to scalable infrastructure and customer service excellence.

While profit before tax dipped from £1.5m to £0.8m—reflecting the cost of these investments—the firm remained profitable and strengthened its balance sheet, with net assets climbing from £3.7m to £4.4m.
