82. NCS Global

Revenue: £55m

NSC Global continues to carve out a space for itself as a trusted global partner for communication infrastructure projects, reporting a solid uptick in revenues to £55.9m in its FY22 accounts, up from £49.3m the previous year. The London-based firm, a wholly owned subsidiary of NSC Group PLC, maintained its sharp focus on a tight-knit group of multinational clients, particularly in the TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) sectors.

The firm leans heavily on its twin-track “sell-to” and “sell-through” strategies, enabling it to deliver commoditised solutions at scale while keeping service quality high. Although NSC saw some margin pressure—gross margin dipped from 23.6 per cent to 18.7 per cent—this was attributed to a rise in lower-margin hardware sales and the ballooning scope of two major retail network refresh projects, which demanded rapid recruitment and training of engineers.

Still, the directors remain bullish. A robust pipeline and continued focus on its nimble, customer-first ethos suggest confidence heading into FY23. The business is doubling down on what it describes as entrepreneurial energy and disciplined execution to sustain growth and generate resilient cash flows.
