Revenue: £52.7m
AV integrator GVAV has posted record turnover and profits for the third year running, as it reaps the rewards of significant investment in its UK-wide footprint and technical workforce.
The firm has seen strong gross margin improvement and double-digit turnover growth across all regions in the six months to September 2024. Key to this success has been the expansion of its London HQ and South West facilities, as well as the February 2024 opening of a new Dundee site five times the size of its predecessor, off the back of GVAV being named top-scoring Solutions Integrator by Scotland’s APUC.
Already a trusted AV partner to the higher education sector, GVAV’s position was further bolstered in August 2024 when it was ranked number one by the North West Universities Purchasing Consortium (NWUPC) and Crescent Purchasing Consortium (CPC) for both AV supply and design-and-installation. That was followed by its selection to the NEUPC’s AVI2007NE framework in September—another endorsement of its growing strength in system design, consultancy, and support.
GVAV continues to invest in infrastructure, with a new Midlands facility signed in August and another site expected to open in the North West by the end of 2024. A new ERP system is also in development, scheduled to go live in 2025.
Recent sole-supplier contract renewals and easing supply chain pressures have given the firm further momentum. With a growing national team of technical specialists and a healthy pipeline of large-scale projects, the directors say they remain confident that profitable growth will continue into 2025 and beyond.
