Revenue: £486.5m

Insight UK, the British arm of US-based Insight Enterprises Inc., operates within the EMEA segment, delivering technology solutions encompassing hardware, software, and services to a diverse clientele, including public sector organisations and businesses of all sizes.

In 2023, Insight UK faced a challenging market, with revenue declining by 18 per cent to £486.5m. Despite this, the company remained committed to its transformation into a solutions integrator. Strategic investments in services and cloud offerings led to a 2.2 percentage point increase in gross margin to 17.6 per cent, although gross profit decreased by 7.3 per cent year-on-year.

The company's performance was impacted by several factors, including a revised intercompany transfer pricing agreement, £2.7m in acquisition-related costs associated with the purchase of Amdaris Group, and a £1m increase in interest payments due to exchange losses. These factors contributed to a reduction in operating profit to £1.2m and a pre-tax loss of £458k.

Insight UK has been actively expanding its capabilities through acquisitions. The purchase of New World Tech (NWT), a British consultancy known for its expertise in digital transformation, is a notable example. This acquisition aims to enhance Insight's ability to deliver complex IT projects and technology strategies across various sectors, including financial services and the public sector.
