Phoenix Software's Sam Mudd has opened up on her journey to the peak of the industry after winning a one-off Industry Achievement award at this year's Women in Channel Awards.

The awards - which can be viewed live here - took place yesterday and today.

We caught up with Mudd ahead of the event to find out how she rose from selling time shares to head up a £150m-revenue software licensing giant, and to get her perspective on reaching the top of what is a male-dominated industry.

Mudd - who has spoken in front of audiences of thousands at Microsoft events - reflects on how she overcome a fear of public speaking early on in her career during the video, which also features testimonials from several colleagues and partners.
