Review: Acronis True Image Echo Workstation

Acronis maintains the lead

The latest version of Acronis’ True Image Echo Workstation does everything users want in a backup programme, and it does it without problems or without users needing to refer to the manual every five minutes.

The “hardest part” of Workstation is setting up the initial backup. There may be too many options for a novice, but for everyone else there are just enough.

Workstation creates an exact disk image of the office desktop and allows users to backup key data files and folders. Users can run backup jobs on multiple machines simultaneously on both 64-bit Windows and 32-bit Windows systems with the centralised remote management capabilities.

Workstation is also very fast, a full backup of 78 Gb took just 2 hours 20 minutes, and subsequent incremental backups were performed in similar or less time.

After a system crash, Acronis True Image Echo Workstation makes it possible to perform a full system restore, a bare-metal restore to different hardware or to a virtual machine or just a restore of individual files and folders in minutes.
