CRN Channel Awards - Finalist Q&A with Adam Clark, Chief Revenue Officer at SCC
Adam Clark talks being a finalist at this year's CRN Channel Awards
Why do you think awards like the CRN Channel Awards matter?
The CRN Channel Awards matter because they are a true benchmark of excellence, judged by our peers and industry experts. They validate that what we’re doing is working – and that our strategy customer focus are setting the pace for the industry.
Industry awards help share recognition and build trust. They are a huge thank you to our people, whose are responsible for everything we achieve – and they reassure our customers and partners that SCC is a proven, dependable leader that delivers on its promises and continually raises the bar.
What would winning this award mean to your company?
Winning would be a powerful endorsement of the hard work and dedication of every person at SCC. It would validate our ongoing investment in people, capability, and technology – especially across hybrid cloud, cybersecurity, and AI – and reinforce our position as a trusted partner.
More than a trophy, winning would be a symbol of the confidence our customers can have in us.
What is your company’s proudest achievement over the past year?
There have been many milestones, but our proudest achievement has been helping our customers balance the competing demands of the modern enterprise – integrating AI, tightening cybersecurity, achieving sustainability goals, and empowering a modern workforce, all while managing cost and risk.
We’ve moved beyond supplying technology. We’re helping our customers design secure, intelligent, and sustainable digital strategies that deliver real outcomes.
A standout example of this was our role as a major technology partner for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. SCC equipped 120 venues across 32 sports with more than 65,000 devices and accessories – supporting everything from real-time event timing and medical services to command centre operations.
Behind the scenes, our enhanced cyber intelligence capability, deployed alongside SCC France and our European partners, successfully identified and neutralised hundreds of targeted cyber operations – ensuring zero cyber impact across the Games. It was an incredible demonstration of scale, security, and trust on the global stage.
What have been the biggest challenges of 2025 so far, and how have you overcome them? How have your people helped with that?
The biggest challenge has been a convergence of priorities all landing at once – economic pressure, rapid AI adoption, heightened cyber threats, and accelerating sustainability goals. Our customers are asking how to balance investment and innovation with security and cost control. There’s no simple answer – but our people are the reason we’ve been able to meet that challenge head-on.
We’ve invested heavily in training and development, with hundreds of certifications achieved across AI, cyber, and modern workplace platforms. Our teams now think and act more holistically than ever, helping customers modernise securely, recycle and refurbish IT to meet sustainability targets, and build foundations for AI innovation without compromising protection or performance.
That agility and expertise have transformed us from a traditional technology partner into a trusted strategic advisor.
How do you think the industry has changed over the past year, and what changes do you think it still needs to make?
The past year has marked a tipping point in digital maturity. AI has shifted from exploration to implementation, cyber risk has become a board-level priority, and sustainability is now a commercial as well as ethical imperative.
However, the industry still needs to evolve its mindset. Too often, technology is sold in isolation. The future belongs to partners who can connect the dots – blending cyber resilience, data intelligence, and sustainability into one coherent business strategy. That’s why SCC is focused on building long-term partnerships that are grounded in trust and shared outcomes.
What do you see as the main opportunities for the industry in the coming year, and how do you plan to capitalise on them?
The biggest opportunity is integration – bringing together AI, cloud, and cybersecurity to create intelligent, secure ecosystems that enable productivity, sustainability, and growth.
We see enormous potential in helping customers modernise their digital estates while embedding cyber resilience at every layer. SCC is uniquely positioned to do that, with deep expertise across cloud, data protection, and managed security services – all underpinned by a trusted customer experience model and strong partner relationships.
