CRN Channel Awards – Winners Q&A with Adam Clark, Chief Revenue Officer at SCC

Adam Clark talks being a winner at this year's CRN Channel Awards

Please provide some background on your company for our readers.

SCC is Europe’s largest independent IT services and solutions provider, supporting public and private sector organisations with secure, sustainable, and modern digital services. We help our customers navigate complex pressures around AI adoption, cybersecurity resilience, cloud modernisation, cost control, and workforce productivity – all through an advisory-led, customer-first approach.

What one company achievement in the last 12 months are you most proud of?

Our proudest achievement has been our role as a major technology partner for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. SCC equipped 120 venues across 32 sports with more than 65,000 devices and accessories – supporting critical operations such as event timing, medical services, competition systems, interpreting services, and venue command centres.

Behind the scenes, our enhanced cyber intelligence capability, working alongside SCC France and our EU partner ecosystem, successfully identified and neutralised hundreds of targeted cyber operations – ensuring zero cyber impact across the Games. It was a standout demonstration of scale, sustainability, security, and trust on the world’s biggest stage.

Why are events like the Channel Awards important to the industry?

Events like the Channel Awards are essential because they set a benchmark for excellence and celebrate what the industry does best. They validate the strategies and innovations that are genuinely moving the channel forward, and they shine a spotlight on the people whose expertise and dedication underpin those successes.

Crucially, they also build trust. Customers and partners take confidence from independent recognition – it signals that they are working with an organisation that leads by example and consistently delivers real outcomes.

What have been the biggest challenges of 2025 so far, and how have you overcome them?

2025 has been defined by converging priorities around customers needing to integrate AI, strengthen cybersecurity, advance sustainability goals, manage cost pressures, and support a modern, distributed workforce – all at the same time. The real challenge has been helping them balance those competing demands without compromising resilience or innovation.

We’ve overcome this by empowering our people. Through extensive investment in skills, training, and certification, our teams are now equipped to build holistic business cases that connect cost reduction, sustainability, cyber protection, and AI readiness in a single modernisation strategy. Their expertise has transformed SCC from a traditional partner into a strategic advisor that helps customers make confident decisions in a fast-moving environment.

What do you see as the main opportunities for the industry in the coming year?

The biggest opportunity lies in integration – bringing together AI, cloud, data protection, and cybersecurity into unified, intelligent ecosystems that drive productivity and resilience while reducing cost and risk.

We also see growing demand for sustainable IT services, secure AI platforms, and improved digital employee experiences. Customers increasingly want solutions that deliver outcomes, not just technology, and that creates real space for partners who can operate with depth, trust, and scale.

How do you plan to capitalise on those opportunities?

Our strategy focuses on strengthening three core areas - expertise, capability, and customer experience. We are continuing to invest heavily in cloud and cyber skills, expanding our managed services portfolio, and evolving our advisory model to help customers make confident, data-driven decisions about AI and digital modernisation.

By combining technical excellence with end-to-end lifecycle services and a sustainability-first mindset, we are positioned to help customers modernise securely and responsibly – and to continue leading the industry in delivering value at scale.
