Channel Awards: Q&A with Grillatech director, Dave Stanley
Stanley talks to CRN about the main opportunities for the channel in 2024
Why do you think awards like the Channel Awards matter?
The Channel Awards are direct recognition of contribution to the UK Channel and the ecosystem where we exist. Have a platform and event to recognise the importance of our environment is essential to the ongoing growth and evolution of the market.
What would winning this award mean to your company?
Being chosen as a finalist is already massive for our company. Being considered alongside some of the biggest names in the UK Channel is already an incredible achievement for us. Winning would be an ultimate thrill and would really boost our profile in the UK Channel. It could be immeasurable for business.
What would you say is your company's proudest achievement over the past year?
Remaining independent in the face of market pressure has allowed us to continue to serve the UK Channel. This is our model and staying true to it will remain our proudest achievement each year.
What have been the biggest challenges of 2023 so far and how have you overcome them? How have your people helped with that?
Like our proudest achievement, remaining independent and continuing to respond to our Channel Partner needs is always challenging. Our people understanding the long journey and being part of a channel first culture is an amazing contribution by them.
How do you think the channel has changed over the past year and what changes do you think it still needs to make?
The Channel is changing in delivery based on the needs of the end-user community. Keeping fresh, relevant, and connected to future change is the real change the Channel needs to make.
What do you see as the main opportunities for the channel in the coming year? How do you plan to capitalise on those opportunities?
Service delivery and customer success journeys remain a main opportunity on the channel to continue growth and evolution. We support and enable both across our Channel partners and believe that this will fuel our own growth plans.
