The countdown to the 2020 Channel Awards entry deadline is on
Entries close on the evening of Monday 10 August
It only seems like five minutes ago since we officially launched the 2020 Channel Awards, but the deadline for entries is almost upon us.
Due to the issues caused by Coronavirus and the fact that all our timings have had to be put back several weeks, we are unable to offer any type of extension on the deadline this year.
In short, the judges who decide the shortlist, normally have four to five weeks to read through the entries, but this year we have less than two. So, any delay would mean entries may get missed or time runs out to read them properly.
Please, if you are considering entering this year, bear the deadline in mind.
This year, we know has been a tough one for everybody, so if you are unable to enter a multi-media version of your entry in 2020 due to time constraints, it is entirely understandable, and the judges are more than willing to take that into account with written entries.
All the criteria for every category have been carefully documented on the dedicated Awards Hub - for inspiration or guidance, please do read the criteria before entering - it really does help.
Over the next few days, we will share a video from last year's judging day - explaining what the judges are looking for in entries, and also highlight a few of the categories, including the one-off Covid-19-related categories that we are running this year.
The channel has been an exceptional place to be with some amazing examples of philanthropism and kind-heartedness, and we feel these acts deserve to be recognised.
As we said on launch day, the awards this year will be very different, and the aim is for them to be fully inclusive, ensuring they can be celebrated where people feel most comfortable, with a virtual and hopefully a physical element too. We are determined to still make it a fun-packed ceremony to showcase channel brilliance.

The very best of luck and thanks for your continued support of CRN and these vital industry awards.
